I like this mattress but it's not thick enough for me. I knew this beforehand, but couldn't find a 12 inch mattress that I liked, so I made plans to buy a topper. Let me say a few things up front: I did my research on mattress types before buying and then read many reviews on many mattresses. I bought a "queen size" and the mattress expanded quickly. There was NO SMELL and I am sensitive to smells. We use the softer side - it is NOT too soft or hard like a stone. My husband and I are both medium height. I have fibromyalgia and my husband has back pain so I got a 2 inch topper a week later. This is NOT a HOT mattress - I would know because I get hot flashes. I don't fall into a deep hole and I can get out of bed in the morning without any problems. I had problems with numbness in my arms and shoulders in the mornings, which made me look for a new mattress. After one night on this mattress this problem is gone! I really didn't expect a new mattress to completely solve this problem. The price was great as was the mattress - win win. I also have a good mattress topper that helps.
