Review on Studio Designs Riviera Drafting Chair by Theresa Brown

Revainrating 4 out of 5

This chair is good quality at a good price. It's as convenient as any.

Decent quality chair at a good price. It's about as comfortable as any other inexpensive office furniture you've sat on. My only criticism of the chair is that the footrest ring doesn't stay in place. No matter how much torque I apply to the tuning knob, it slowly moves down the gas cylinder. I had to reinstall it every week until I attached a piece of aluminum bracket to the cylinder that I had lying around to support the ring. Assembly was easy and I hardly had to look at the pictogram instructions. The required Allen key is included and all parts are available and accounted for. Unfortunately, the factory packaging does not meet the requirements. All the parts came in a large box with a flat piece of cardboard to keep the metal from touching the plastic. As a result, the plastic lining on the underside of the seat has torn. However, it gave me an opportunity to try Studio Designs' customer service, which was exemplary. I called and emailed a photo of the damage and they promptly sent me a replacement seat (packaged *much* better than the original). Very satisfied.
