Material smell mentioned in previous review. I found the same but fixed it with some changes. First I washed it, then I realized that the wet mesh lining seemed to smell. So I removed the mesh in the hood by carefully hand cutting it out. It would be possible to remove the mesh at the back, but this would require some machine stitching at the back. The little added fragrance overpowers any remaining smell and I'm fine with that. As a matter of fact. It's very easy.
