Review on Panduit LS8E KIT Thermal Transfer Printer by Molly Kaye

Revainrating 5 out of 5

I am very satisfied with this product

This is a reliable handheld label maker. Most portable label printers have expensive refills so I don't know why the other reviewer gives 3 stars. If you buy this device, then before buying it, you should be aware of the cost of consumables and not complain later. I am very happy with the performance of this device. I just did a project to remove existing labels and relabel using this device and it saved my life. I've probably printed about 200 labels already and they come out perfect. There are many formatting options and I like that I can print 4 identical lines so when I wrap the label around the cables it is visible from all sides. The labels are printed in seconds and are very easy to cut with the built-in cutter and then peel off the back of the label. It wraps easily around any cable (I've used Cat6 and BNC) and comes out very clean and professional. I made the same labels using Panduit software and a laserjet label and I prefer that they work, but this is best used when you need to apply labels on the fly. When you need to print hundreds of labels and you know what you're going to print in advance, you're better off with Panduit software and Laserjet labels. Also, with over 200 labels printed, I haven't had to change the batteries yet, so I'm glad about that too as battery life was an issue. I definitely recommend this device.
