Non-Stick Mesh Nets are lightweight, washable and the only way to dry small fruits/vegetables/food in a Presto Dehydrator. Small fruits or foods in small pieces (less than say 1/2 inch before dehydrating) tend to fall between the rough plastic ribs on the trays that come with the dehydrator. These non-stick strainers are for foods that tend to get sticky. save a lot of time. Instead of scraping food off trays, place them on one of these non-stick colanders and once dehydrated you can easily move food around. The instructions for high-tack products recommend flexing the screen to loosen it - this works quite well. While not sticky, you may need to brush the stickier residue out of the mesh openings when cleaning. Brush briefly and throw in dishwasher (I don't use my dishwasher's heat drying function, but I suspect these screens might be fine considering the dehydrator heats itself up to 160°F when it's running.)
