4.5 Stars Great Everyday Bag/Diaper Bag

4.5 Stars Overall - Stonewash Black0.5 stars down due to backpack material: Picks up lint easily and leaves marks easily. I've attached a photo where you can see the small white area on the fabric that I created when I gently tried to rub/brush off some of the lint. I did this with clean hands, but via a charging cable that I put in an outside pocket. Like when you draw something with a pencil and you get that outline/indentation of what's underneath your paper. Otherwise a great backpack, very sleek/compact and very comfortable. Exactly what I expected and was looking for (functional). I was looking for a slim, good looking backpack with functionality and room for an everyday bag for work, carry-on and/or diaper bag! I've been using this backpack for both work and as a diaper bag for the past 2 weeks. I tend to carry more minimal stuff with me and when not overcrowded this backpack looks and feels great. For this review and photos I tried to fill the bag to show what fits inside. Even then it was still very comfortable, definitely didn't feel heavy like any other backpack I have. I think it has to do with how little it protrudes from your back and the ribbed foam back panel giving it a nice flat surface that sits comfortably on your back. (Photo of an empty backpack that stays flat when I hold it horizontally) The photos are true to size and volume. I don't have the best lighting and the backpack looks much prettier live. Also, I left the water bottles in the outside pocket in most of the photos, which gives the backpack an uncharacteristically lumpy look. It's actually easier/quicker to open the bag since I know exactly where the zippers will be (when I zip the side of the water bottle). I could see this being an issue for a larger backpack. GREAT INTERNAL ORGANIZATION: The large padded laptop compartment ends 1" above the bottom of the backpack to protect it if you drop the backpack a little hard. The document case fits my iPad perfectly. The zippered compartment is handy for thin items (cables, small chargers, etc.). It extends the full width of the document case, leaving space behind the pen holder and adjacent pocket in the zipped compartment. I wouldn't put anything thicker than 3/4" x 1" or so because then no binders/binders/books will sit flat on the back. The outside pocket is much bigger than I thought and the space above the zip is usable (see photo). I put 2 17oz water bottles in my bag to show the size. The side water bottle pocket is nice and feels very secure - no more worrying about my bottle falling out when I lean in to pick something up. It's big enough to fit in my 24 ounce water bottle when needed. If the backpack isn't fully loaded, the bottle will tend to push into the large compartment instead of coming out, which keeps the bag looking sleek/smooth. Due to the tight fit, it may take two hands to slip a large water bottle into the pocket when the pack is full. My wife has one of the popular diaper backpacks and they have far too many pockets and compartments for my liking. I prefer a more minimalist and sleek approach. This bag is ideal for my diaper bag. School/Work Bag: Fits easily in my 15" MacBook Pro, 11" Pad Pro, both chargers/cables, pens, AirPods, spare headphones, 2x 5/8" ring binders, 2x 60 sheet national chemistry notebooks (as seen in photo ).I threw my Nintendo Switch in my backpack (just in case) to show the rest of the room. After that, I was still able to fit a compact umbrella and a thin/light jacket if needed. what I need right now (baby is 2 months old) As it's basically a large compartment I use packing cubes/bags to help organize (color coding helps too) Fits in easily: a travel changing pad, 5 Size 1 nappies, a full pack of 56 wipes, my travel bag This includes 2 size 1 nappies and 10 quick change wipes, 2 3 month nappy changes, 1 burp cloth, 1 bib, 1 blanket, 1 pacifier in a pacifier case, hand sanitizer, a roll of disposable garbage bags d a couple of ziplock bags. Although not pictured, I can still fit 1-2 breast milk bottles into an insulated pocket, leaving room for a small umbrella and/or light jacket. I think the carabiner is on the right shoulder. A Belt might be useful to attach to a chair or stroller when I'm out in public and not carrying on my back.
