Probably best for straightening long hair
From all the pictures it looks like a round brush but it isn't. It's quite large and elongated. I suppose this would be good for straightening long hair, but since my hair is straight I need one that will curl my hair more. My top layers are about six inches long, which is way too long to use on it. A round brush curls your hair better. The noise level was about the same as my hair dryer. i will return it
