Thoroughly flush the flow-through nozzle fitting.
I did this because I drink a ton of water and it was the largest vacuum flask I could find except for the 64 ounce hum which was too big to be practical. I use it every day and it works great. One thing I noticed is that unlike my hydroflasks, this thing has a bad smell coming out of the spout after two days of use. This is a glass flow nozzle with pieces of rubber that I have removed quite a few times. The canteen is a bit heavy, especially when it's full (yes). But it's better than constantly running around to replenish supplies.
