When I took it out, the package was very light and not "plush" in any way. The worst part is the noise! Sounds like crumpled paper to wrap Easter baskets (I can't think of a word) whenever my dogs would put their paw on it you would try to lie on it but immediately stood up when you moved to put your head down and the noise repeated. I tried for a few days but the dogs wouldn't have anything to do with them even after offering treats to put on them. The fur is nice, as mentioned above, but a nice pillow that dogs don't use is useless. Even when they lie on it, the pillow under them is absolutely not thickened, it flattens out completely. In fact, when you hold it in your hands, it folds up like a worn pillow. I bought the largest because my dog is large and weighs 80 pounds. So if your dog is used to lying on a real pillow, this pillow is not for you. (I believe this is the first negative review I've written, my apologies to Furhaven Pet Products but people should be warned about the subtle and loud nature.)
