We needed a small outdoor mat in front of our sliding patio door. This fits the bill. It features a brush-like synthetic finish to remove dirt and debris from shoes before you enter the home and a low profile with beveled edges to reduce the risk of tripping. So far it seems to stay with moderate foot traffic and wind. It arrived in a tight roll and took a few days to straighten out. This 18″ x 30″ rug is good for a quick wipe of your feet before entering the house, but for a front entrance or high traffic area I would go for something larger and thicker. Annual Review Update: Unfortunately, I found it necessary to replace this mat. Because of its rubber bottom, it always held water when it rained or when I hosed down our deck. Those who entered the house on this carpet found themselves with wet shoes and footprints on the floor inside. I ended up replacing it with a perforated design mat that drains water but doesn't have the brush-like finish I liked. This mat needs to be recycled with some drainage holes.
