I mean, a "desktop" backup computer is literally the size of a CD player. It's tiny and I got it for the moment my laptop suffers the blue screen of death. For those lucky enough not to have this problem - one day it may happen and if you don't have a backup computer you will feel unsafe or possibly experience a power outage. Maybe others have the money to pay over $1,000 every few years to replace their laptop, but I don't. So I have a small backup computer that connects to this monitor very easily and of course I have a keyboard and mouse connected to the tiny computer but with this monitor I can have my backup desktop on a fold out TV tray or even mount a tray on your lap for tablets and small laptops. This monitor has a great picture and as I said, it connected to the computer with no problems. I understand most people use it as a second monitor for their laptop, but I haven't used it that way. This is the primary monitor for a very small backup "desktop" computer and works great for my needs.
