Councils for installation and training.

never wrote a review. but this time it's me. We just installed a PetSafe fence for our 100+ Anatolian Shepherd Dog who can jump over fences. Let's start with the installation: easier than I thought. The instructions are clear, be sure to read them beforehand. We simply braided the wire onto our existing fence. Where the gate opens we dug a 2 inch trench and buried the wire. Very easy. If you wish, you can run the wire through PVC tubing for added protection. We can come back and do this later, but we just wanted it to work for now. As for the areas where you want to "break" in shock. that is, our back door through which it is supposed to pass. Twisting wires is a kind of work. We were advised to use a cordless drill and twist it like this. Much easier. For USE: DO NOT put the collar on or let go of the collar. We hurried and made it, but the settings were wrong. So he was buzzed into the "safe zone". When you're done with the setup, turn it on and check the settings by holding the collar at dog height. See if it beeps and adjust from there. Then I will put a collar on the dog and tie it. Walk around the perimeter about a foot from where the wire actually is. Then light it up and ignore the dog, but keep an eye on him. :) Make sure the collar is snug. Overall I can highly recommend this product so far. And it only works for us for a few hours! I was concerned that this fence would not be effective due to the size of our dog, but it is not.
