This is the best curling iron I've ever had. I've had many all my life; I'm 50. My hair is difficult to curl. This curling iron curls my hair, lasts all day and the curls are tighter than any other curling iron I've had. Heats up in about 60 seconds; really fast. It emits a faint beep when heated to the selected temperature; The beep is not loud enough to wake someone in the next room. I love the fact that it lets you know when it's done. The barrel is long and ideal for long hair. There is a steep spike at the end that you can hold on to while you wrap your hair. I definitely recommend this curler.
