I haven't had an Xbox since the 360, but have been using a USB 360 controller for PC games since. This controller recently gave me the ghost when the connection between the cable and the controller failed. Then I used a PS4 controller to keep me going until this controller came out. The PS4 controller works fine, but I never liked the micro USB ports. The connector on the PS4 controller also started to fail, causing it to come loose slightly while in motion. It also doesn't support Xinput (Microsoft's controller API) like Xbox controllers. Thanks to Xinput, most games are automatically set up correctly to recognize the Xbox controller (any of them, not just this model), so I was itching to go back to the Xbox controller. Another (perhaps weird?) thing about me is that I don't like wireless controllers. Changing or charging batteries is annoying when the controller is always wired away from my PC anyway. I've had wireless controllers in the past that I couldn't use without the battery installed, but this one works fine with a USB cable and no batteries. I also like the fact that it uses regular AA batteries instead of a proprietary battery. I also like the USB-C connector and look forward to seeing them in other controllers. USB-C is less susceptible to interference than Micro-USB. It might seem strange how the controller actually works, but most people already know what to expect from the Xbox controller since not much has changed. I would like to add a couple of points that struck me personally. It would be nice if they added a USB-C cable, but otherwise I like everything about it so far.
