Should be for the passenger.

I love these things. However, two things are not so good. One of the plastic buckles was made incorrectly and is very easy to disassemble. I worked on it with some zippers. The following is also with the material used for the straps. It's too thin and almost smooth for the buckles to not catch on. After a full day of riding, they loosened up and increased in length. But apart from those two things, I love her very much. Much more comfortable to have 2 people behind the wheel at the same time *cough*.
