This airline worked for American Airlines! I loved the different expandable compartments and our 10 or 11 pound cat loved them too! On the way to the airport, he was able to stretch out a little in the car, and we were even able to open the compartment on the floor of the plane. It was nice to have a zip opening on the top of the stretcher when we had to take our cat out to get through security. The strap options didn't make it too uncomfortable to wear at the airport. Once when our cat started scratching the walls I was a little worried about tears but then the sedative kicked in again and I'm happy to report we didn't test the mesh window material too much . UPDATE: We have been using the carrier to take our cat to the vet for about five months since original purchase and it continues to serve us well. I will note that this stretcher is definitely not a replacement for your cat's kennel training as I'm not sure how much scratching it can take, but for a cat that isn't completely insane this thing works well and is comfortable to use Fold up for storage .when not in use
