Ford manual explains how to pair additional keys if you already have 2 original keys. If you only have 1 original key you will be led to believe that you will have to pay a small fortune to a dealer or locksmith to do this job for you. It's not like this. If you have 1 original key, you can use FORScan program with OBDII scanner (e.g. this one https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B005NLQAHS/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o08_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) for Programming use the rest. Search the internet for a video called "Programming new keys for my 01 Ford F-150 using FORScan (cheaper and easier than a trip to the dealership!)". Means of transport. I have a 2010 Ford Escape Limited and it has worked great for me. The person in the video is using a tablet to run software and connect to an OBDII scanner, but I was using a laptop. The first thing you should do when you get these keys - and you don't need a program to do that - is to program/link the remotes to your car so that they have the buttons to lock and unlock your doors and open the tailgate work, etc. This is a very simple process that requires a sequence of key turns and button presses. Consult your vehicle's owner's manual, online, or another Revain review for instructions. I suggest doing this first because it's free and if the remotes don't work you'll want to return the keys. Locksmith. Cutting these blanks cost me $3. After that I used FORScan (with the help of the mentioned video) to program the keys/chips to start the ignition. for me is different than the person in the video but he explains what could be different. I had no problems. Just make sure you fully understand everything that is being done in the video before starting the process yourself. By the way, FORScan software will also help you. If you make a mistake, you won't be able to start the car even with the original key. Sounds scary but if you follow the instructions you will be fine. The only thing stopping me from starting the process was pairing my laptop with an OBDII scanner. Once you have paired your laptop or tablet with the scanner via Bluetooth, you will need to select your OBDII scanner in FORScan software so that it can connect to your vehicle. It's just that I'm slow and it's not a software issue. or something else. Sorry if any of this is unclear. Just trying to point people in the right direction as the actual process has already been explained by others. Much luck!
