The switch is activated when the power supply is interrupted.
I have this to start aquarium devices. If power fails, the breaker trips and you must reset it manually by pressing the button when power is restored. Lose power for a split second and my whole riff is dead. Pretty useless.
- Prevents uncontrolled device startup, requires manual reset after GFCI disconnect and power failure
