Bought this fan from storage to save a few bucks - can't resist. A bracket was missing, but after beginning the return process, the seller reached out and asked which part was missing. They quickly sent the missing part which allowed me to install it. Relatively easy installation, especially if you've installed it before. They are all very similar. This fan is nice and quiet. Looks good and the size is impressive. Installed in a fairly large master and it really makes a bold statement. The board is fine. Registration takes a second or two, but all features work. The blades are plastic, but that doesn't matter since they have a wood grain pattern. After installing it, you can't tell it's plastic. I doubt anyone will notice. At least I couldn't. The instructions are detailed and well written. Close mount and pole mount options. If you already have a solid box in your ceiling, this mounting bracket should screw right in. I had to improvise installing the bracket as my previous box was a little different than the regular box. I put two screws through the bracket in my existing box and "hung" them with my weight to test the fixation. Many. The fan is not that heavy. Make sure it is properly attached to the box that is mounted to the ceiling joist. The fan comes with a nice fascia system covering the mounting bracket which when installed is flush with the ceiling ie hanging below the ceiling. It is framed. Turn off the power switch. white to white. black to black Ground/Green to Ground/Green. The light is warm. Maybe a little whiter than a traditional incandescent bulb, but hardly. I have the light on the lowest setting because it's pretty bright on the highest setting. Everything is controlled by the remote control. Good fan for the price and size. The color corresponds to the pictures. The fan runs very quietly, with no noise at low speeds and the typical hiss at high speeds.
