I made the mistake of buying this lathe because of the supposedly stepless speed control. It is not clear from the specs and product description that there are 3 different belt positions for low, medium and high speed and that the speed can only be adjusted within the speed range of each belt position. The digital speedometer failed after less than an hour of use and it was very difficult to get the seller to send me a new one. Then the headstock began to vibrate. Whether it's a bearing or just poor workmanship, this assembly was unsuitable for pivot pins. Needless to say he comes back for a refund. Avoid this item. .
