My first child, now 14, had a firefly and loved it. I wanted my second child, now 9 months old, to have one too. I like that the new firefly's light stays on for several minutes without the child having to hold down the button. My child doesn't like the dark. Every time we sit in the car at night, she cries when the light isn't on. I used to have to sit behind her with a flashlight. It's a much safer option than a flashlight, and she can hold on to it. My only complaint is that it doesn't look very much like a worm because of the hood with ears.
