Found this on the Wirecutter blog as the best inexpensive point and shoot camera (similar to the Consumer Reports version of the blog where the all types of electronics are tested and verified ) and I have been very happy with it for the year of ownership. It's very easy to program once you know the specific settings, and you have a variety of preset lighting or situational conditions to choose from. It can produce a blurry image in low light, but this is fairly common with point-and-shoot shots. The nice thing is that it's wireless, so I was able to transfer photos from the camera to my iPad and iPhone using the Canon iPhone app even without internet access. You can also connect it to a regular Wi-Fi network and transfer photos that way. The advanced settings are a bit tricky for those who haven't used more advanced cameras, but setting them to the default setting gets you some pretty good photos. Oh, and I've never had a single red-eye photo with this camera. Great camera for everyday use.
