We use this with our Franke cold and hot water dispenser. The taste is noticeably better. Our tap water can have a slight taste of algae or chlorine. Filtered water is fresh and crystal clear. If the water flow becomes too slow for you, simply remove the filter and shake off the dirt from the outside of the filter. I did this about three months after installing the new one. Measured the consumption after cleaning, is like new. I don't do this cleaning regularly. I change the filter every six months. I went through about five of them. I did the cleaning mentioned above twice. At first I used the application, but when the battery died I didn't bother to replace it.
