I know it's my fault but I was helping an elderly friend buy a new phone. She is visually impaired. I was looking for a telephone for the hearing and visually impaired with a table base and telephone sets. I confused caller id with speaking caller id. It wasn't until the phone arrived and was set up that we realized it didn't have the Talking Caller ID feature. My question is how can you list a phone as good for the hearing/visually impaired with this feature on most phones these days and not have one! The rest of the phone works fine, but we're very disappointed. So if you need this feature, don't make the same mistake I did. I also set up many new phones. The instruction manual stinks, very confusing. At some point you will be asked to find a specific button on the phone to "register" the handset. Well, only after the call did I find out that this phone doesn't have that button. There was no such indication in the instructions.
