The blanket is not too heavy, not too scratchy, just right!
I had trouble finding a comfortable comforter to fit my king size bed which has good combs on both sides. I have sinus problems and need to sleep in a cool room (windows open) but I like to be warm and cozy under the covers. I bought this blanket to layer under my relatively light summer bedspread but still heavy enough to keep us comfortable under the air conditioner. This one is surprisingly soft. It is ideal for indoor use in cool rather than cold temperatures. I plan to order another one for my guest room.
