Hammer Time for Hammers

This hammer is great, but it's really not for the ultra-light backpacker. The main reason I bought this hammer is that it is so much better than a rock, shoe or whatever for driving stakes into hard ground. By the way, this hammer is almost the only luxury (the other luxury is a tiny chair) that I take with me on hikes. There's nothing like getting to a campsite, breaking that hammer and banging in the tent poles very quickly. Oh, and the hook on the end of the hammer is perfect for getting stubborn stakes out of the ground quickly. In addition, the digging portion of the hammer is ideal for cat holes and clearing a campsite. A red ribbon was attached to the handle of the hammer. I didn't like it so I got rid of it and then shaved off the rivet with my trusty Dremel. The final weight is 368 grams (or 13 ounces to be precise). Since the handle is hollow it would be really nice to be able to store a small saw in there and somehow attach the saw to the underside of the handle. I think I'll try to do it myself just for fun. Are there any disadvantages with this hammer? Not really. It's starting to rust a bit where the paint has chipped off the head, but that's to be expected from a tool in this price range. Conclusion: I would buy it again.

Cons
