not heavy enough to flip large steaks

may look well made it is very light so it has its place for hiking but if you need to flip heavy steaks then stock up on your canopy , tents or too stretch umbrellas and windy conditions get a heavier hammer and don't be frustrated I still gave it two stars for the look of the metal and the hook for removing very light stakes.

Exactly what I needed.

First time camping a few months ago and I didn't have a hammer so it was extremely difficult to set up the camping pegs for the tent. The difficulty of setting up the stakes was only secondary to the difficulty of removing them once I had completed my hike. This hammer eliminates the hassle by acting as a versatile tool for campers. I also love the color and it comes with a red tie so you can attach the hammer to a safe place like your pocket.

Adze, hammer, hook, good tools, grog.

I'm really hesitant to pack that much weight in my pack, but it's worth every ounce when it comes to rigging these small, lightweight aluminum Y-shape tent pegs (even on the lawn). hammer. I threw away my slotted plastic bucket and larger tent pegs that can be stoned so they could break with the weight. Pulling the pegs is also less of a hassle. Modern man uses tools. It can also protect you from an angry raccoon! I wrapped some Gorilla Tape around the Tesla head to protect the backpack fabric.

Good product at a reasonable price

I was looking for something smaller than big rubber or plastic mallets to carry with the tent. The length and weight of this hammer is perfect, and while I can imagine a slight vibration when you drive the nails in the wrong way, this hammer works well and is attached to the outside of my backpack. The peg hook is a very useful addition along with a "scraper" that can be used to dig up stubborn pegs or rocks. When I received this there was an odd red ribbon attached to the handle (not pictured…

Suitable for soft floors

Good price. The nice thing is that it's lightweight and can easily be packed with other gear. I only use it to set stakes for tents and shelters in the ground. I had significant difficulty in really rocky terrain, but I can't entirely blame the hammer for that. In the softer ground everything went pretty smoothly and it was much easier than with rock. I can't use the hook end because it completely ruins my MSR Groundhog stakes. Something has been rattling since I first used it. around the…

Hammer Time for Hammers

This hammer is great, but it's really not for the ultra-light backpacker. The main reason I bought this hammer is that it is so much better than a rock, shoe or whatever for driving stakes into hard ground. By the way, this hammer is almost the only luxury (the other luxury is a tiny chair) that I take with me on hikes. There's nothing like getting to a campsite, breaking that hammer and banging in the tent poles very quickly. Oh, and the hook on the end of the hammer is perfect for getting…
