Let me start by saying I've been using a flat toilet for 20 years and since the first handle broke I couldn't even find a proper one in plumbing stores. The cutout in the side of the tank is square and we could only find one handle with a round insert, causing the handle to partially roll off with each flush and requiring constant readjustment. With that being said, I saw this one with the square bet and jumped on it, and let me tell you it's a home run. My toilet is positioned so that there is very little space to the left of it due to the vanity as you can see in the picture. If this is your case, all you have to do is insert them at an angle and wiggle them around a bit. plug it in, which is by no means the grip manufacturer's fault. There is also a removable rubber grommet around the insert that fits into the tank neckline to accommodate different size necklines. I left mine on. Another issue I noticed from other reviewers was that the handle rattled. I'll tell you it rattles a bit, but I've never had one in 20 years that didn't rattle, not even the original that came with it, and that's not a problem at all.
