I needed a multi-room music solution and Sonos provided me with one when they had no choice. The quality is not bad, the price was very high for what it was. Updates came more frequently each time and the system refused to play unless I updated. The update was a slow process and no update ever brought me what I needed, quite the opposite: new versions of the Android app were often less convenient. My guess is that the updates had other purposes, such as data gathering. Now Sonos has informed me that they no longer support my player. They want me to throw it away and buy a new one with a little discount. The thing still works fine and there's already too much trash on the planet so throwing it away isn't an option for me. Buying new Sonos hardware is useless as one old speaker limits all others. Sonos just lost a customer who will never come back.
