It was installed in a laptop to dump pictures and videos on it and watch movies during the holidays and not carry additional external drives with you. I coped with my function (to bring information home), but after a couple of months the computer began to signal the imminent death of the disk (SMART reported problems) and the need to urgently backup. Saved all data from it. I ran a surface test in Victoria and was horrified - in the middle of the disk there are a huge number of unreadable blocks. The most interesting thing is that when trying to read SMART, this was not possible. The program reported an error getting SMART. Replaced under warranty (36 month warranty). Let's see how the second instance behaves. I have both disks crashed and formatted absolutely fine.
