Strong and light but not durable

If rigs could be made entirely of carbon fiber these rods would be perfect. Unfortunately, any metal clips or fasteners on these rails will begin to leave scratches and small dents. I can't help but assume that they start to bend or fail long before the metal rods. They are surprisingly light.
