I have used this tool 4 times and each time it easily removed the compression sleeve. I spilled some oil on the threads to make it spin smoothly. Gently insert the silver tip into the 1/2 tube that connects to the nut, slowly and steadily twisting the knob to remove the sleeve each time. Do not worry!
