I'm giving 1 star because: A: My niece loves it even though it doesn't work and B: I can't give less. Given as a birthday gift, batteries don't work, wanted to buy new ones, $10 per battery x 4 batteries = $40 + tax. I didn't buy them, I'll see if they are smaller in the big box store. Because the toy is in the box, it could not be turned on and leaked, moreover, it was in the box in the off state. I think the batteries are old. I bought her a second Hatchimal for Christmas. I'll make sure she doesn't break the package this time so I can return it when the batteries run out. I can't figure out how to contact this seller. I wouldn't recommend buying from this person unless you want a hard plastic toy that doesn't work.
