My baby will be 5 months in a week and was premature. She weighs 14 pounds and has been wearing them for 0-3 months so far. She loves this toy as she has learned to use both hands. She picks it up with no problem and like all her toys, she drops it and needs her mother's help. She plays with him in her car seat, rocks and rolls on her toddler mattress on the floor in my living room. So for moms who are hesitant or put off by this toy because many reviews say it's too big, I say it depends on the baby. If your baby is developing normally or faster, this toy is ideal for babies from 4 months old as it is bright, has lots of texture, makes noise and has lots of knobs to help with picking. I've added photos to show how well she's doing! It's so big that I feel like I'm helping her hold it longer and also picking it up again because she can see it next to her, which makes her reach for it.
