I bought a mask to replace the wire mesh on a CCM brand hockey helmet and after doing some research online I settled on this product. The size of the new mask is perfect for this mask. All installation is done with a screwdriver. Due to the depth of the new forehead mounts and temple mounts, you should use the new included hardware. Remaining screws/latches etc can be retained if present and previously working. A few reviewers have suggested improving the chin cup and straps, but so far I haven't found it necessary. The design of the mask allows you to replace the eye protection independently from the lower open part of the cage in case you get scratches. in an eye protector so you don't have to throw away the whole knot for a new one. In-Game Use: If you've ever felt like your cage's wires are distracting and negatively affecting what you see on the ice and puck, this mask will definitely change your perception there. The increase in visibility is very noticeable. Being closed in front of your face is also noticeable as your voice and breath are reflected back to your face. However, when riding on ice, the airflow is quite good. I've only played one game with the new mask so far and haven't noticed the fogging mentioned by other reviewers. There was a small amount of moisture/condensation but I found it dissipated as soon as I got back on the ice. I never had to wipe it down with a towel between coats. I have never been directly exposed to a puck, racket or similar while playing. The mask seems to withstand it without any problems. Due to my limited use so far, I would recommend the mask without hesitation. I've been very happy with it so far.
