They remind me of a biting glove, but a more open concept. They are also easier to clean and put on. The whole teething toy is made of silicone and looks like a koala. For example, there are chewing points on the ears and hands. The baby does not have to actively hold the toy, it can slide on the hand. You can then grab the inner silicone bar to hold on while chewing. Not tight, but I'd say snug. I can also say that this is probably not a teething toy for every child. The toy is designed to stay in your hand and it does. Toys are made of silicone and are therefore easy to disinfect. They can be washed, boiled or stewed. They come in a thicker plastic zipped case perfect for storage and travel. There is a more traditional color combination for a boy and a girl, but I don't think color really matters for a child that young. They just like to chew and explore new things. It helps keep the child occupied in a high chair, stroller or car seat. I don't have to worry about it crashing all the time.
