I really like these little lamps. I bought four of these to set our outside Thanksgiving table last year and they were a hit! I also used them on St. Patrick's Day this year and we lit them to keep the bugs away. As with any flashlight, be careful not to knock them over with the oil inside, whether they are lit or not. They haven't done that much work to keep the bugs out, but these are really nice looking lamps and I think 'looks' is their main goal for the price. A friend on St. Patrick's Day wanted to buy them from me. I bought the black ones, they are a matte color and a strange way of opening the glass to light the lamp, but it's easy to understand. They are about 10 inches tall and I have no regrets buying them as I plan to use them for more events in the future.
