I couldn't find a good way to get in and out of a chair without bumping into the tray. It dropped the consoles easily. There is no ledge at the top to catch them. I tried moving the tray back and forth but it didn't work in any position. The non-slip surface on the back is thin and not grippy enough. The top coat was applied unevenly leaving incomplete streaks of light. I returned it. I made my own using a picture frame, non-slip surface, and two corner brackets. :-)
