Review on πŸ‘” Black Men's Accessories for Belts - Titan Belt by Thomas Bates by Darius Newberry

Best belt I have ever used

I came across this belt while looking for a military style belt to wear with my work clothes. At first I wasn't sure I would like this belt as it is made of nylon webbing. If you've never worn a web belt, it comes in two varieties; cotton and nylon. Cotton is a bit thicker and most buckles hold this fabric better, but the color will fade. Nylon is thinner, doesn't hold up as quickly, but is more durable and keeps its color without fading. I usually prefer cotton so I wanted to skip that but the buckle looked durable. I read different opinions but decided to give it a try anyway. I've been using it for about a week and I really like this belt. The nylon is nice and thin which is usually a problem with military style buckles, but this plastic buckle grips and holds very tight, it doesn't slip at all. The buckle doesn't have teeth that dig into the fabric like a traditional belt, so the nylon won't rip, tear, or fray. The buckle simply clamps the nylon with pressure. I believe this belt will last a very long time as the nylon webbing doesn't stretch with use like cotton. This is a very durable and comfortable strap. I saw some reviews saying the buckle is a bit bulky and it looks bulky in the picture. Compared to a traditional belt, the buckle may be a bit larger but compared to other belts I don't find it too big and when I received it I was surprised at how much smaller it looked compared to the picture on Revane in person. I will be back soon to buy this in several more colors. I can get one in any color as they will most likely last me the rest of my life. The only downside is that it's only one size. If your height is more than 40-42, you will not be enough. If you are smaller you will need to trim it and then melt the end to keep it from fraying. I'm pretty good at this, having wore nylon webbing in the navy, but if you've never done this before, be careful as the nylon tears easily. If you have a hot knife this works best, or just leave it long and hide access to the belt loops if that's not too awkward. Unfortunately, this belt doesn't have metal tabs that attach to the end after you cut it to give it a neat look. The tongue does not fit this buckle, so you must use it without the tongue as shown in the picture.
