Each individual unit has a switch with on, off and RF. I leave the switch on RF so all three devices light up at the same time when I use the remote. Since we are on the road most of the time, I rarely use under-table lighting (about once a week for a maximum of 1/2 hour). At first the brightness was exactly what I wanted. However, the newly purchased batteries for all three devices were slowly empty and after two months only one device was still working and it was very dark, and after a week this device also no longer lit up. I am very disappointed to say the least.
