When comparing these speakers it's good to know what they are and aren't. They don't feed themselves, so the quality of your amp is very important. I feed them an analog tube amp and audio output from a dedicated external DAC. This setting reduces noise and crosstalk, and the DAC provides a high-quality initial output before the amplifier. These speakers have exceptionally neutral sound and can use some tweaking and still play them well. Even in the 2.0 configuration, these speakers can still produce plenty of bass when you push them to those channels. I rate them right below my Klipsch speakers, which on their own are phenomenal at $250-$350. Quite simply, if you're looking for incredible sound or just a very, very good set of bookshelf speakers, look no further.
