Impressed! Suitable for washing dishes

**Update in comments section (page 2).**To say impressed is an understatement! I LOVE THIS DETERGENT! Before I tell you about it, let me say that I would almost buy it because of its wonderful essential oil smell. You can smell it when the dishwasher is running and when you open the door you just want to stand there for a while and enjoy the wonderful aromas! I showed my friends this cleaner and they love the smell too! You will stand there sniffing the bag and inhaling the smells! I know we're weird. I wish my whole house smelled like this all the time. As for my review, I was very skeptical that it would clean up when I saw the ingredients as some of the ingredients are the same as BioKleen Automatic Dish Powder, Free and Clear, 32 oz. (907g). Bioclean left a horrible residue on all my dishes. I used vinegar to rinse and that helped a bit, but over time we realized the white powder was still on the dishes. Does that sound delicious to you? If you are wondering what these ingredients are, as Revain does not list them at the time of writing, let me list them for you: soda ash (a natural mineral water softener) sodium metasilicate (a natural mineral that helps with purification) nonionic ethoxylate (a Blend of Biodegradable Cleaner + Degreaser) Sodium Sulphate (mineral cleaner) Sodium Citrate (a mineral derived from citrus fruits for cleaning) Sodium Percarbonate (made from natural soda ash, it uses oxygen to remove stains + alkalinity additives to facilitate cleaning) Silicon Dioxide (substance on mineral release agent ) Sodium Iminodisuccinate (Biodegradable Water Softener) Sodium Polyaspartate (Biodegradable Mineral Rinse) Bio-Enzyme Blend (breaks down protein and starch based stains)** Fragrance Contains Essential Oils: Thyme + Violet Leaf + Sage Soda, Sodium Percarbonate me and Sodium Citrate are Biokl een ingredients that made me skeptical about these pods. However, I noticed that this product contains a mineral rinse, which is probably why we never see white deposits on the dishes like we did with Biokleen. After much research, I came up with a theory as to why this product works so well. much more so than Biokleen and other "natural" dishwashing detergents I've tried (e.g. the seventh generation was absolutely the WORST I've ever tried). I think I have semi-hard water. I've read numerous reviews and articles stating that many natural dishwashing detergents are made for people with soft water. So if you have soft water, almost all of them will work for you. However, those of us with hard water need one that will soften the water as it clears. If you look at the ingredients in this product, you'll see that it contains a biodegradable water softener, which is vital for those of us with hard water. My washing problems! If you don't mind, let me tell you my short story about dishwashing liquid. :) A while ago I was a regular customer of Melaleuca for about five years. During those years I loved their products until I started researching the ingredients in their products and was struck by their "The Wellness Company" logo. Here you have"Health". Also, they didn't list the ingredients for some of their products, like dish soap, which I loved, which bothered me. There were several other reasons why I finally decided to end my membership in the company, but I haven't missed them since. Before I canceled my membership, I actually stocked up on a few products to use my "bonus" money I made from their program. (If you've ever been to Melaleuca you know what I'm talking about.) I had bonus money and I could use it. For some reason I decided to stock up on dish soap. I have enough detergent supplies for a year. Just before it ran out, I started looking for other natural dishwashing detergents. I don't remember the names of the ones I've used before, but after a few months of unwelcome results, I almost gave up searching. I never realized how well Melaleuca dishwashing detergent cleans until I tried several "natural" detergents that just didn't perform as well as Melaleuca detergents. To say I was discouraged is an understatement because I didn't want to go back to anything like Cascade. Whenever Melaleuca taught me about dish soap, I learned that Cascade eats through aluminum foil! Mmmm, sounds appetizing eating food on plates doesn't it? :) As I mentioned before, I tried Biokleen which was ok but the leftovers were a big problem. After that I tried the seventh generation and wow it was the worst thing I've ever tried! Not only did it do a terrible cleaning job, it burned on food and got in the way of dishwashing. We had to rub to get it off. You might as well wash the dishes by hand! At that point, I started missing Melaleuca because of their dish soap! And here I am back to THIS wonderful product! Not only did this product clean my dishes better than Melaleuca (which impressed me), but it also eliminated the OVEN on 7th generation foods! Remember we had to scrape it to remove the baked-on food it left behind, but GrabGreen cleaned it completely and made it shiny again in just a few washes! It even impressed my husband! He was about to sign up again with Melaleuca, stock up on laundry detergent, and then cancel our membership again. :) He was just as disappointed as me, but not with this product! We're both excited about it! All that said, if you've been as frustrated as I have been trying to find a good dishwashing liquid with natural ingredients, I think you're going to LOVE this product! Whether your water is hard or soft, this water works for both! If you love beautiful scents filling your home then here is one that will fill your dishwasher! Haha! Maybe you're standing next to the dishwasher just sniffing the air, knowing the dishes are sparkling clean! :)
