This is a great Mini PC. The onboard storage is fast as it is a SATA m.2 SSD and not the eMMC storage that many other brands use. That storage, 8GB of RAM, and a Celeron J4125 processor make this a very responsive device. It loads quickly and handles multitasking well. WiFi is also very reliable. It also stays very cool for a mini PC. It tends to be around 31C when idling and the highest temperature I've seen is 42C and it was only a few seconds while watching 1080P videos. The system fan is also very quiet, so quiet that I had to turn off the room fan and the TV and get very close to the unit to hear it running. All in all, this is a fantastic mini PC. And while for my purposes it's used as a fun alternative to my main desktop and as a backup, it's certainly a viable device as a desktop replacement. Sure it doesn't play the latest video games, but as a home or even light office PC it's perfect. The device was shipped with Windows 10 Pro version 1909. At launch, it went through a typical W10 setup. It was surprisingly quick. After it was done and opened on the desktop, I changed a few basic settings to my liking. I then saved the system image to an external USB hard drive and then the driver file repository to a USB flash drive for future reference. Then I did a clean install of W10 Pro version 20H2. When the installation was complete, it rebooted and went through the default W10 setup. When it finished and opened on the desktop, I changed some basic settings to the ones I like and then went into the group policy editor to change the Windows Update settings to notify me of updates, but I didn't download and install them. . I have limited internet so this is important to me. I then connected to the internet and a few seconds later the new Windows installation was activated. I then installed the required drivers from the previously saved driver file store and then updated everything and uninstalled apps/programs that I don't use and don't use. Not required by the system. I also installed the programs I like and set up the browser the way I want it. After all that I saved the system image of the new setting. After doing all this, I started using the device as usual and it worked perfectly. I couldn't be happier. If you're looking for a good basic Windows 10 Pro PC, you can't go wrong with this device. 🙂
