Review on Plantronics Voyager 4200 UC Series Wireless Bluetooth Headset - Model PLNVOY4220 by Cesar Carter

Good sound, everything else bad

Sound quality for speech is excellent. The mics work great, picking up speech well and doing a great job of filtering out background noise and even kind of chewing through the audio in my testing. The maximum volume is quite low and I use it in quiet environments. I can't imagine them working very well in other environments. Inexplicably, the music is so loud that annoying music on hold makes your ears bleed. Unfortunately, he lacks everything else. After less than a year, the microphone rotation mechanism wears out a bit, it feels weak and noisy in operation. There is no persistent indication that it is disabled. The switch is too easy to accidentally flip, draining the battery. You may forget to plug it in during use as it is impossible to feel the port so you have to unplug it to find it. The ear cushions are uncomfortable for anything for an hour or more. Sometimes there is static noise when connecting, so you have to disconnect and reconnect. They sound great on both ends, but I don't think they're worth the cost ($200) or the hassle.
