Nice trackball but mouse assistant doesn't work on Mac Sierra 10.13.2

I've been using Marble for a while. I prefer trackballs to mice, and I also prefer index/middle finger trackballs to thumb trackballs. Was glad to find this version and ordered it despite the mixed reviews. Received it today and immediately tilted it outwards like the Logitech MX ERGO does. With a tilt of about 30°, it feels much better on the wrist and movements feel more natural. I'll be tinkering with it a bit over the next few weeks to see which angle works best. It's counterintuitive, but placing the hand further than normal seems to improve the feel. This puts the trackball in a less effective position on the fingers, although the controls were a bit stiff, especially the select button, which is of course the most used, and I think it will work over time. Both marbles were the same. 3-position mouse speed is fine. In an ideal world, it would be nice to customize it. Aside from the trackball location, the biggest part of the purchase was navigating Photoshop, Premier video editing, and Lightroom. Lots of customization options to work with. I downloaded the Mac version of Mouse Assistant before the hardware plugin, which I would really like to do before purchasing. In short, if you're running Sierra 10.13.2, don't expect the wizard software you downloaded to work. You will be hung up which keys do what and how. I have a trackball cursor function, up/down on the scroll wheel, a select button at the bottom and a traditional right mouse button next to the trackball, that's it. No function keys, no scrolling tilt, no tweaking. This was a real disappointment. Browsing the web, I see that the same thing has happened to more than one person. it really detracts from the usefulness of the device. I'll wait a few months to see if the issues get fixed (or I can find a workaround), but chances are it hits Craigslist and I'll have a new Logitech and get used to the thumb-style trackball. . It would be a solid 4+ stars if everything worked as advertised.
