I bought these containers to help with cooking and to bring lunch to work. On the other hand, they are very durable, microwave and dishwasher safe and also ideal for lunch. However, without a fight, the sheaths are NOT GIVEN. Yesterday I broke my nail trying to take the lid off and today I just broke one of the lids in half trying to take it off. I have to stick a butter knife in and tilt it to get the lid off. I have not seen this with other containers, I am very disappointed. 😒 Think back to the drawing board. Update: Updated to remove the star. At lunch today I stuck my finger right through the top of the lid and cut myself. And I didn't do a brute. These things are TERRIBLE.
