Review on πŸŽ’ CamelBak Skyline LR 10 Bike Hydration Backpack with Crux Lumbar Reservoir - 100 oz by Angel Scully

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Great for running. It's like they pulled the design out of my head!

Haven't fully tested it yet, but so far so good! As a long-distance runner who sweats a lot (more than anyone I know), I've used Camelbak FlashFlo (waist pack, 50 ounce tank) for training runs up to about 13 miles for a while (14 years? more?). Also, I've either timed my runs by having a place to stop and refill (sometimes at home) or used a backpack-style Camelbak (2 or 3 liters). When running with a backpack, I thought about how it should be better for running. A good waist belt is key to getting the weight on the hips and not the shoulders. I was wondering if it would be possible to turn the tank sideways to lower the center of gravity. I wanted to be able to tighten the backpack while drinking to avoid unnecessary movement. I wanted to be able to carry additional items (e.g. phone, keys, groceries). Skyline LR meets all of these requirements. The belt can be tightened on the go. My iPhone 8 fits on my belt and can be taken on and off while running. Large storage pocket on the back plus a smaller one for keys and other items. After a while I return to normal running. I've only tried it on a 4 mile run so far and I've had absolutely no problems with it. I also think it will be a great backpack for a day trip too.

Pros
  • Excellent Overall Performance
Cons
  • Some Flaws
