Seven years ago I bought a small Honeywell air purifier. I recently decided to upgrade it to a model with better filtering. I bought this one after looking at the reviews. The filter is easy to install. Take it out of the box, tuck it under and the bottom cover of the air purifier closes. The controls are extremely simple. Press the ionizer button to turn on or off the ionizer function, press the power button once to turn it on, touch it to change the fan speed. Press and hold the power button for 5 seconds to turn it off. Even when my Honeywell is at work, dusting weekly and vacuuming a few times a week, I usually wake up with a runny nose, probably from mild allergies. My first night with this device, which has better filtration than True HEPA, I didn't have a runny nose and slept more deeply. It also eliminates all odors. It is enough for the quality of filtration and the size of the room, it is very inexpensive. It's also fairly small and very light if you need to move it between rooms. The air purifier consumes no more than 60 watts of power (at high fan power). Running on Medium uses around 23 watts of power, and the filter itself (which will cost you around $50) runs for around 2,000 hours. The air purifier tells you when the filter needs to be replaced. I liked it so much that 3 days later I bought another one for my living room. If you suffer from allergies or want to reduce your risk of illness (because this medical filtration removes all bacteria and some viruses from the air), it's worth every penny.
