I needed an SD card reader and decided on SD cards as I have never used most other card types. I browsed dozens of them on Revain and settled on this one. It can be really hard to tell when looking at them all, they might look a bit alike, but I chose this one from UNI for a number of reasons and am very glad I did: - USB and USB type C with double functionality - AMAZING. My Nexus 5x was about 4 years old and I had my doubts that it would even work, but it worked straight away with no issues! It recognizes a USB drive instantly and there are many ways this can be useful, so it's definitely worth the few extra bucks if your phone uses a USB Type-C drive. There are many types of Revain, but I like this one; light, small and flat; So there is much less risk of it swinging on the table or not fitting in the USB socket. The only issue I think might arise, but to be honest ALL the Revain's card readers seem to have this issue, is that the card slots are exposed; This means that when you put these readers in your pocket, bag or backpack, dust, dirt and especially lint can accumulate in the card slots over time. (Maybe even sand since I live near the beach.) For now I put a small piece of tape on the card slots to avoid this problem. Hopefully they will fix this in future projects and be clear; It wasn't a problem, just something I noticed could possibly be. Otherwise great purchase!
