Looks great but not as advertised!

The important thing here is that the light looks great, blends well with it and gives a smoother look to the back of my black Ram 1500. Installation took a few minutes. Simple plug and play connection with standard wiring harness. It has a thicker foam pad than the stock light which doesn't allow it to sit flush but I think this should do a good job of protecting the bay from moisture or debris but only time will tell. The LED lights are bright and easy to see and complement my new LED taillights perfectly. I liked the setup of these LEDs a lot more than some of the other 3x aftermarket brake lights. That's why I named this review and gave it 4 stars instead of 5. The product listing clearly states that the light works as a white LED reverse light. It's not like you can see in my video (flashing lights due to the video frame rate). The white LEDs only work when the unlock button is pressed on the key fob or as a truck light. I don't remember if the standard 3rd light acted as a tail light (I don't think so) so I wouldn't expect that from this product either - but other than that they shouldn't advertise it. How do I know they didn't include some sort of wiring or chip in the electronics that added this feature? I bought this particular device partly because of this advertised feature, so I'm a little disappointed that it doesn't actually work that way. I first contacted the seller for more information and although they did reply they didn't have much of an answer for me or didn't seem to know it could be a problem. Overall this light looks great on my black truck but be aware it is not exactly as advertised.
